How to Get Fiverr Gigs Clicked and Ranked (Real 2026 Data)

Short answer: A Fiverr gig gets clicked and ranked when three things line up: a low-competition keyword at the very start of a short title, a thumbnail that stands out in a grid of look-alike gigs, and a complete gig (gallery, video, FAQs). This guide walks through exactly what I (Hamza) changed on my own Webflow gigs this week, with the real numbers I found, and no made-up results.

The Problem: Impressions but No Clicks

Before this update, my gigs got 71 impressions in 7 days, with almost no clicks. Buyers saw the gigs in search but scrolled right past. That means ranking wasn’t the main problem. The title and thumbnail weren’t getting people to click. Fiverr pays attention to how buyers react to a gig, so a gig that gets seen but never clicked has little chance of moving up.

Step 1: Do Keyword Research With Fiverr’s Own Gig Counts

You don’t need a paid tool for this. Type a keyword into Fiverr search (or open its keyword page) and note how many services it shows. That number tells you how many gigs you’re competing with. Here’s what I found on October 15, 2026:

KeywordCompeting gigsVerdict
webflow blog65Very low, easy win
webflow portfolio67Very low, easy win
webflow fix776Low, good target
webflow bug fix2,624Medium
fix webflow website4,213Medium-high
webflow landing page8,989High, use a longer variation
elementor website10,730Very high
wordpress elementor13,252Very high
Gig counts change daily. Check them yourself before you pick a keyword.

Look at how much the wording matters. “webflow fix” has 776 competing gigs, and “fix webflow website” has 4,213, even though buyers mean the same thing. For a new seller, the smaller pool is the smart choice: you can actually show up near the top there. Keep in mind that a gig count measures competition, not demand. Fiverr doesn’t publish search volume. Pick terms that real buyers would type, and use the search bar’s autocomplete suggestions as a rough sign of demand.

Step 2: Put the Keyword First in a Short Title

Every Fiverr title starts with “I will”. Put your main keyword right after it, and keep the title short. Fiverr shows a warning when a title is too long, and long titles get cut off in search results anyway. These are the titles I’m using now:

  • I will do a webflow fix, update or customization
  • I will convert figma to webflow, fully responsive
  • I will build a webflow portfolio website
  • I will design a high converting webflow landing page

Step 3: Never Overlap Tags Across Your Own Gigs

If two of your gigs use the same tags, they compete with each other for the same searches. Give each gig its own main keyword and a tag set that doesn’t repeat anywhere else. I also caught that two of my “new” gig ideas (Webflow fix and Figma to Webflow) were already live gigs. Instead of creating duplicates, I improved the existing ones, which keeps their impression history.

Step 4: Design a Thumbnail That Earns the Click

In Fiverr search, buyers look at the thumbnail first. My first draft below was rejected because the details looked blurry at small sizes and it didn’t stand out:

First draft (v1), rejected before it went live.

The new set follows four rules:

  • Crisp 2x exports. Export the design files straight from Figma at 2x or 3x instead of screenshotting a blurry preview.
  • One bold headline. Three to five words that you can read at phone size.
  • A different color for each gig. Your gigs shouldn’t look identical when they show up next to each other.
  • Real work, no faces or clutter. Show an actual website you built inside a device mockup.

Step 5: Use Your Gallery Slots and Add a Gig Video

On my account, Fiverr allowed 3 images per gig, so every slot has to count. Use the thumbnail first, then real project screenshots. After that, add a short video of 30 to 60 seconds. Fiverr is widely reported to favor gigs with video, and video gives buyers a quick, honest look at your work. I made screen-recording style videos without faces or logos. They’re currently in Fiverr’s Trust & Safety review, which can take a day or two before a video goes public.

Step 6: Write Gig FAQs That Answer Buyer Doubts

Begin the description with your keyword, then add FAQs that answer what buyers actually worry about: turnaround time, what you need from them, number of revisions, and whether the site will be responsive. Good FAQs cut down on back-and-forth messages and make buyers more comfortable placing an order.

New Seller Gig Limits: Check Your Own Account

You’ll often read that new sellers get 7 active gigs. My account allowed a maximum of 4. Check your own limit before you plan a lineup. Spend your slots on your lowest-competition, best-fit keywords, and keep drafts ready for when your seller level goes up.

Bonus: Send Buyers to Your Own Landing Page Too

Fiverr is a great place to start, but it helps to have your own page outside the platform where people can see your portfolio and leave their email. Systeme.io’s free plan lets you build a simple landing page and email follow-up funnel at no upfront cost. Just make sure you follow Fiverr’s terms and never take Fiverr buyers off the platform.

Quick Checklist

  • Choose a keyword with a low gig count that buyers would actually search.
  • Use “I will” + keyword, kept short.
  • Give each gig unique tags.
  • Make a crisp thumbnail with a bold headline and its own color.
  • Fill every gallery slot and add a 30 to 60 second video.
  • Start the description with the keyword and add buyer FAQs.
  • Check impressions and clicks every week, and change one thing at a time.

I’ll check these gigs again after a week and share honestly what changed in clicks. If you need a Webflow site built or fixed, you’ll find me on Fiverr as hamza_zee.
